
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Idaho Horsemen Professional Indoor Football team won their home opener at the Ford Idaho Center Sunday night beating the Las Vegas Kings 70-12, according to a recent news release.
Quarterback Austin Shaffer threw 6 touchdown passes and Rashad Flanders had a kick off return for a touchdown in a very high powered Horsemen offensive performance.
The Horsemen defense dominated the Kings holding them to only 12 points. A special highlight of the evening was a halftime Easter Egg Hunt on the field for the younger kids. It was hit and Horsemen officials indicate it will no doubt be held again in the future.
The Idaho Horsemen are 1-0 and hit the road to take on the Wenatchee Valley Skyhawks (0-0) Saturday, April 8th at Towne Toyota Center in Wenatchee Washington. Kick off is 7 p.m.
The next Idaho Horsemen home game is Saturday, April 15 at 7 p.m. when the Horsemen host the Sacramento Cali Gold at the Ford Idaho Center.
