Tyrogue is one of the many baby Pokémon that players can catch in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. It can evolve into three different Pokémon, all of the Fighting-type variety, that Generation I and III fans will know fondly. However, in order to get those Pokémon, players will need to do some special tasks. They’ll also need to know where they can catch Tyrogue in the first place.
Below, players can find out how to do both of those things in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Catching and evolving Tyrogue in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
To start, you can find Tyrogue in the Grand Underground once you’ve acquired the National Dex. This is given to you once you find all 150 Pokémon in the Sinnoh Dex.
In the Grand Underground, you can encounter Tyrgoue wandering around in the following caves:
Whiteout Cave
Sunlit Cavern
Still-Water Cavern
Spacious Cave
Riverbank Cave
Grassland Cave
Tyrogue can be anywhere from level 16-63, so you should come prepared to catch it. Once you have, you can go about evolving it into Hitmonlee, Hitmontop or Hitmonchan. Tyrogue’s evolutions into each of the Pokémon is described below:
Hitmonlee: Attack higher than Defense
Hitmonchan: Defense higher than Attack
Hitmontop: Attack and Defense the same
All you need to do to evolve Tyrogue into the Pokémon you want is make sure its stats are correct. If you want a Hitmonlee, then you need to train your Tyrogue so that it gains more Attack and less Defense. You can also try and catch a Tyrogue with the right Nature for whatever evolution you want.
That’s everything you need to know about catching and evolving Tyrogue in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
