- His father was born in Tibet, & then raised in Delhi. His mother was originally from Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh. From India, his parents moved to Michigan first, then made their way to Lake Forest, California, a year later.
- He has one older sister named Karenjit Kaur Vohra, more widely known as Sunny Leone. Sunny is a Bollywood star and married to Adult film Director Daniel Weber since 2011.

- Sundeep began his career as a chef while very young. He initially sought jobs in local eating places- any place in which he could follow his passion for cooking. It wasn’t long before he became executive chef at King’s Row Gastropub, a casual restaurant inside a landmark 20th-century building in Old Pasadena, California.
- The restaurant was quite new, and relatively undersubscribed at the time. After the appointment of Sundeep as executive chef, the restaurant has become a much more vibrant place, with its own identity.
- Sundeep has given radio interviews for various outlets such as The Dog House and Crew of Pasadena.
Marriage to Karishma Naidu :
- In December 2016, Vohra married Fashion stylist Karishma Naidu, in a close knit ceremony. He was accompanied by his sister Sunny, his brother-in-law, and a few important members of the family from both sides. It was a traditional Punjabi style wedding.
